Working in partnership with BSS Cardiff, GMS designed and built a number of skid mounted packages for this new, state-of-the-art educational complex in South Wales.
The contract included the boiler skid package incorporating four ICI Caldaie hot water boilers, the district heating pump skid, the biomass thermal store pump skid and CPU unit pump skid; all including Grundfos pumps, as well as three 3800 kW plate heat exchanger packages.
Starting from the customer’s schematics, GMS designed, built and pre-assembled the skids in a factory newly acquiredfor this type of work, significantly saving time on site and helping critical deadlines to be achieved. GMS can produce designs and drawings in both AutoCAD and Solid Works 3D for incorporation into customers’ drawings.
